Larry L Dennis

Larry L. Dennis, 67, of Syracuse died November 6, 2012 at his Residence. He was born on February 4, 1945 in Jacksonville, Illinois to Julius and Marie (Surrat) Dennis. Larry married Patricia Cooper on February 4, 1966 and she survives.

Larry graduated High School in Jacksonville before entering the United States Marine Corp where he honorably served his country during Vietnam. He was a retired diesel mechanic, a former member of the Auxiliary Coast Guard in Islamorada, Florida. He enjoyed traveling to Key Largo, Florida in the winters, fishing and helping people, most recently donating to the Hurricane Sandy relief fund.

Larry is survived by his wife Patricia of Syracuse, a son, Larry Dennis Jr. of Syracuse, and two grandchildren, Amanda Senzel and Stephany Bailey. Also surviving are four brothers, Everett (Darlene) Dennis of Illinois, Eugene Dennis of Iowa, Julius Clinton (Sherry) Dennis of Illinois, Robert (Susan) Dennis of Illinois, one sister, Emma Maxine of Illinois and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Ellen Bailey and a sister, Mary.

A memorial service with Military Honors for Larry will be at 2:00pm, Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Mishler Funeral Home, Milford with Reverend Stan Owen officiating.

Friends may gather for sharing of memories one hour prior to the service.
