Charles E. Bope

Charles E. Bope, 75, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Bremen Health Care Center. He was born on September 17, 1936 to Edward and Ruby (Kaiser) Bope.

Charles served his country in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the VFW. He worked for Hop-Cap for numerous years. Charlie enjoyed playing cards and racing.

Charles is survived by six sons, Edward C. (Linda S.) Bope of La Paz, James C. (Kim) Bope of Bremen, Lonnie A. (Pam) Bope of Nappanee, Joseph W. (Beth) Long of Bremen, David J. Thompson of Bremen, and Grady M. Bope of Bremen; three daughters, Tonya M. Bope of Warsaw, Charlee E. (Clint) Alsman of Goshen, and Whitney P. Bope of Bremen; a brother, Jerry Bope of Bremen; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren: and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Penny Bope; two brothers, James Bope and Russ Bope; and a sister, Barb Jones.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 25, 2012 at Mishler Funeral Home at 7 PM.

Friends may call from 5-7 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
