Inabelle E. Johnson

InaBelle E. Carbiener Johnson, 92, passed away May 4, 2012 in Bradenton, Fla. She was born Sept. 27, 1919 in Marshall Co. to Morgan and Flossie Manges.

She married John W. (Bill) Carbiener in 1945 and lived in Bremen until moving to South Bend. They moved to Bradenton FL in 1973. Bill preceded her in death in 1978. She married Russell O. Johnson in 1990; he preceded her in death in 2002. She was active in her Meadowcroft Community, Kirkwood Presbyterian Church and Shrine Auxiliary. She was a 25-year member of Eastern Star and was awarded the Presbyterian Woman of the Year Award.

Surviving are her sister, Phyllis (Bill) Madden; daughters Kathy (Mike) Smith & Judy (Denny) Wetter; stepson William (Karen) Johnson; stepdaughter Robin (Richard) Garrett; grandchildren Todd (Christina) Wetter and Jamie (Robert) Piontkowski; step-grandchildren William & Richard Garrett and Kimberly & Danny Johnson; and 5 great-grandchildren, Nate, Ava, Nicholas, Violet & Kelsey.

A Celebration of Life will begin at 2 p.m. Friday, May 25 at Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen, IN, with burial in the Bremen Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
