Orville L. Linderman

Orville L. Linderman, 82, of Bremen, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at the Community Hospital of Bremen. He was born August 25, 1929 in Ober, IN to Frank and Chloe (Hall) Linderman.

Orville attended high school in Ober, and then in 1951, in an effort to serve his country, he enlisted in the US Army. While based in Fort Polk, Louisiana, he met Deloris Cooley. They were married on January 10, 1953, in DeRidder, Louisiana. Earlier that day, he received an honorable discharge from the US Army in Fort Polk. The couple returned to Indiana right away and Orville began working at the Studebaker plant in South Bend. He worked there, supporting his growing family until it closed in December of 1963. Orville was later employed with Reynolds Metal in Bourbon where he worked until his retirement. Orville was a member of the Bremen American Legion and the First Baptist Church in Walkerton.

He is survived by his wife Deloris; four daughters Laura Linderman of Bremen, Christine Sheetz of Bremen, Connie Linderman of Lake Havasu, AZ, and Katherine (Barry) Barnes of Madison; six grandsons John McVey, Rich McVey, Kenny McVey, Christopher Freet, Adam Sheetz, and Eric Sheetz; three granddaughters Candace McVey, Michelle Hay, and Jennifer Sheetz; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a brother Milton Linderman of Plymouth; and two sisters Dorothy Wagers of Walkerton and Elizabeth Gross of Plymouth.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Theodore Linderman.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen. Burial in Bremen Cemetery will follow the service.

Friends may call on Monday, March 26th from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Community Hospital of Bremen.
