Helen Virginia Leeper

Helen Virginia Leeper, 78, of Bourbon passed away March 18, 2012 surrounded by her family. Helen was born April 26, 1933 in Bourbon to Walter and Minnie Young. She married Herbert Lee Leeper on October 28, 1951; he preceded her in death on January 25, 2003.

Helen was a lifetime area resident. Helen was a homemaker and also worked for several local factories throughout her life and was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, gardening, camping, traveling and doing many different crafts. Square dancing with her husband Herbert was one her favorite things to do. Helen was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and cherished her family.

Helen is survived by two daughters, Janet (Edwin) Clark of Billings, Montana, Sharon (Gary) Eads of Bourbon, three sons, Deane R. (Sherrie) Leeper of Bourbon, Gene (Phyllis) Leeper of Bremen, David (Kay) Leeper of Plymouth, 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Lula Polson, Laverne Fisher Wauneta Denney and a brother Carl Leeper.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Herbert, 8 brothers and sisters and two grandchildren.

A funeral service will be 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Mishler Funeral home, Bremen. Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Mishler Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Center for Hospice Care or Right at Home Adult Care in Bourbon.

The Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen is assisting the family with arrangements.
