Luselva Saavedra

Luselva "Lucy" Saavedra, 35, of Milford died February 27, 2012. She was born March 1, 1976 in Brownsville, Texas to Santos and Esperanza (Delafuente) Leal.

Lucy was a loving and caring person. She was always willing to help out when needed, no matter what. Lucy was the strongest person ever, always overcoming life difficult challenges. She always had a smile on her face and was fun to hang out with. She loved her family and cherished her two daughters. Lucy graduated from Wawasee High School in 1995 and was employed at Applied Thermal Technologies in Warsaw. She faithfully attended church every Sunday at St John's Catholic Church in Goshen and now is at peace in God's care. Lucy was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

Lucy is survived by her two daughters, Jacky and Melody Saavedra both of Milford, her parents, Santos and Esperanza of Mexico, three brothers, Juan (and wife Roxanne) Leal of Milford, Santos (and wife Guadalupe) Leal 0f Wisconsin, Daniel (and wife Brisa) Leal of Mexico, two sisters, Maria and husband Robert) Delafuente of Milford, Maribel Guerra of Milford and several nieces and nephews.

A mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Friday, March 2, 2012 at St John Catholic Church in Goshen with Father Fernando officiating. Burial will take place in Mexico.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, March 1 at Mishler Funeral Home, Milford and one hour prior to mass on Friday at the church. There will be a prayer vigil at 7:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family or to Applied Thermal Technologies for a trust fund being established for Jacky and Melody.
