Edna L. Bunch

Edna L. Bunch, 86, of Mishawaka, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center. She was born on February 3, 1926 in Mishawaka to Chester and Pearl (Waikel) LaVine.

Edna graduated from Madison High School in Wakarusa. She married Richard Parcell; he passed away in 1958. On May 7, 1960, she married John Bunch in South Bend. As a homemaker, Edna loved caring for her family and raising her children. Later, she had the same enjoyment in loving her grandchildren. Edna liked camping, crocheting, and needlepoint. She was formerly active in her bowling league, and she was also a former member of the Ireland Road Grace Brethren Church, participating in summer church camp.

Edna is survived by her husband, John Bunch of Mishawaka; two sons Mike (Kathy) Parcell of IL and Jim (Kelly) Parcell of Bradenton, FL; two daughters Barbara (Terry) Manges of Bremen and Norma (Mike) Fitzmaurice of South Bend; three brothers Alfred (Thelma) LaVine of South Bend, Burnett (Dorothy) LaVine of MI, and Lyle (Jo) LaVine of Plymouth; a sister Treva Bope of FL; a sister-in-law Wilma LaVine of Wyatt; ten grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Parcell, her parents, two brothers Morris LaVine and Richard LaVine, and a brother-in-law James Bope.

Private services will be held.
