Wayne C. Ricketts

Wayne C. Ricketts, 64, of Bremen passed away January 6, 2012 at Community Hospital of Bremen. He was born March 29, 1947 in Perry County, Kentucky to Jerry and Tilda (Posey) Ricketts. He married Lucy Evelyn Engle on November 20, 1965; she survives.

Wayne loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. While he enjoyed motorcycle racing himself, he also enjoyed watching his sons racing events. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren's various sporting events, which included coaching their little league teams for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors and made sure the kids knew the importance of being safe. He was a do it yourself person and liked working in his garage fabricating things for his hobbies. He was employed at Bremen Castings for 30 years before working for Keystone R.V. Wayne was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

He is survived by his wife Lucy Evelyn of 46 years, three sons, Steve Ricketts of Bremen, Mike (Raquel) Ricketts of Bremen and Nick Ricketts of Bremen, five grandchildren, Jeremey, Jacob, Michael, Phoenix, Zaccarry and a sister, Glenda Grubb of Matthews, Indiana.



Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter Angela, seven brothers and five sisters.

A funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen officiated by Chaplain Tom Padburg. Burial will be at the Bremen Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 13 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Marshall County Hospice or Community Hospital of Bremen.
