Fern Irene Troche

Fern Irene (Kring) Troche, 89, of Bremen died Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at the

LuAnn Nursing Home in Nappanee following an extended illness. She was born April 26, 1922 in North Liberty, IN to Colonel Eddie and Bessie Pearl (Mull) Kring, both deceased. Fern is also preceded in death by her sisters, Helen Caspari and Mary Markley, and her brothers, Claude, Joseph, Howard and Robert Kring.

Fern was a graduate of the North Liberty high school class of 1940 and the St. Joseph Hospital Nurses Training School where she became a registered nurse.

Fern was married May 29, 1949 to Alfonso Troche in Castener, Puerto Rico where the two worked in the Church of the Brethren Hospital. Fern also worked in the Bremen Community Hospital for a number of years as a registered nurse after returning from Puerto Rico with her husband and son.

Fern is survived by her husband Alfonso of 62 years, her son Edgardo and his wife Angela, her son Daniel and his wife Susie, her daughter Nancy and her husband Homer Berry and her son Jaime and his wife Debra, as well as 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at the Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen and will be officiated by Pastor Norman Replogle. Burial will follow at the Fair Cemetery, Lakeville.

Friends may call 1 hour before the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
