John Schlemmer

John Schlemmer, 81, of Bremen passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at his residence. He was born August 6, 1930 in South Bend to Hobart & Wilma (Terwilliger) Schlemmer. He married Gail Felten, she survives.



John graduated from Bremen High School in 1948 and was a US Army Veteran, serving in the Korean War. He drove for UPS for 34 years.



Survivors include wife Gail Schlemmer, son Michael Schlemmer and daughter Debra Schlemmer, all of Bremen, 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.



He was preceded in death by one grandson and a sister, Sara.

Funeral service will be held at 1PM on Sunday, October 2, 2011 at the Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen and will be officiated by Pastor Neil Wonnacott. Burial will follow at the Bremen Cemetery.

Friends may call from noon until the time of service at the funeral home.
