Veloice L. Whitsel

Veloice L. Whitsel, 95, of Bremen passed away on Monday, June 20, 2011 at the Bremen Health Care Center. She was born November 30, 1915 in Marshall County to Claud & Sylvia (Slusser) Mitchell. In December 9, 1933 she married Richard Whitsel, he preceded her in death in February of 1988.



Veloice was a custodian at Bremen High School for 6 years and at the Bremen Manor for 6 years. She also worked home care, caring for the elderly for 10 years. She was a member St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bremen, there she served on the alter guild. She was a member of The Pines and enjoyed bowling.



Survivors include 4 daughters: Barbara Crothers of Bremen, Marcia Osterbur of Bremen, Helen (Keith) Bellman of Bremen, Katie Delong of Bryon, OH, several grandchildren & great-grandchildren and sister Delores Harris of Delphi.



She was preceded in death by her husband, son Robert and 2 sisters.



Funeral service will be held at 6PM on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at the Bremen Cemetery Chapel and will be officiated by Pastor Neil Wonnacott.



Friends may call from 4PM until the time of service on Thursday at the chapel.



Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bremen.
