Alegria E Pool

Alegria Elizabeth Pool beloved sister, daughter, granddaughter, and great-granddaughter passed into the arms of our loving Heavenly Father at 8:40 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2011.

Alegria was born on February 9, 2009 and resided with her mother, father, and eight siblings on their farm in Bourbon, Indiana.

Alegria is survived by her parents, Alonso and Jill Pool; brothers-Montgomery, Dante "Mateo", Miguel, and Moises; sisters-Abigail, Annabelle, Anica, and Ariel; grandparents-Mary L. Main (Bremen, IN), Marta and Theodore A. Pool III (Sebring, FL), Salvador Calero (San Jose, Costa Rica); great-grandmothers-Joyce Main (Bremen, IN), Florence Newcomer (South Bend, IN); and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Hal E. Main.

Alegria Elizabeth loved life. Her name means "joyful promise of God." Every moment spent with "Ali" brought joy and laughter to our family and everyday she enjoyed time with her family. Alegria's smile filled the room and her joy was always contagious. She bravely fought the limitations of Trisomy 13 (Patau syndrome). Her heart physically gave all it could and finally, it could no longer keep up. The physical bounds, however, do not compare with the love it continuously gave. Our hearts overflowed, thanks to God's love bestowed on us through her. Alegria's time on this earth was short, yet lives are forever changed. We are very grateful for the many friends who so graciously invested in Alegria's life. We thank God for His precious and perfect gift and His continued faithfulness. God's Hand in Alegira's life has always been evident. We commend Alegria to her Good and Faithful Creator as we await His promise of our reunion in eternity; where together again, we shall glorify His Name in His Presence from everlasting to everlasting. "The LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD."

Visitation is on Monday, May 23rd from 4 pm until 8 pm and on Tuesday, May 24th from 10 am until 11:30 am. The funeral service will follow on Tuesday, May 24th at 12 noon. Interment will follow at the Bremen Cemetery. The visitation and funeral service will be at Grace Fellowship Church, 535 S. Birkey St., Bremen, IN. Mishler Funeral Homes in Bremen is assisting the family with arrangements.
