Linda I. Ray

Linda I. Ray, 69, of Milford passed away on April 24, 2011 at I.U. Health Goshen Hospital. Linda was born on July 5, 1941 in Fremont, Michigan to Glenn and Freda (Dorgan) Porter. She married Joe Ray on July 4, 1981, he survives.

Linda loved spending time with her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She cherished her grandchildren. Linda enjoyed being outside in her garden, scrap booking and enjoyed playing her favorite music on the guitar and organ. Linda enjoyed company, when she was able, she would go out and visit and the past few years having them stop by and see her. She retired from CTB after 26 years of service. She began her career in 1977 in production assembly and worked her way to an order processor in the grain systems business unit.

She is survived by her husband Joe of 29 years, daughter, Tammy (Jim) Kraft, New Paris, Son, Kevin Haines, Milford, step daughter, Alyssa (Monty Lackey) Schmucker, North Webster, step son, Jason Ray, Elkhart; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grand children.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers.

Services will be 10 am, Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Mishler Funeral Home, Milford with Pastor Timothy SollenbergerMorphew officiating. Burial will follow in Milford Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2-6 pm on Wednesday, April 27 at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to Goshen Hospice.
