Janet Sue Kiefer

Janet Sue Kiefer, 75, of Bremen, passed away April 4, 2011 at 9:35 am at Millers Merry Manor in Wakarusa. Janet was born February 14, 1936 in Bremen to Olen and Hazel (Senff) Ernsberger. She married Henry "Hank" Kiefer on September 16, 1956, he survives.

Janet was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church and an Auxiliary Member of Gideon's International, Wawasee Camp. She was the former director of the preschool at St Paul's and was also former director of La Leche League International. Janet loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, three sons, John (Sandy) Kiefer, Bonfield, Illinois, Jim (Melody) Kiefer, East Lansing, Michigan and David (Beth) Kiefer, Birmingham, Michigan. Also surviving are seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Stephen Michael Kiefer and a brother, Jack Ernsberger.

There will be a memorial service on Sunday, May 8, 2011 at 3:00 pm at St Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bremen, Indiana.
