Gladys Riggens

Gladys Riggens, 86, of Leesburg, passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Our Lady of Peace Hospital, Mishawaka. She was born May 4, 1924 in Kosciusko County to Calvin & Maggie (Hahn) Stahly. She was married to Glenn Riggens who preceded her in death in 1975.

Gladys was a long-time resident of Oswego, worked for Korth Furniture Factory for several years more recently as a painter for Winona Corp. She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed bird watching, gardening, cooking, puzzles and garage-saling on the golf cart.

Survivors include 4 sons: Mac Moody of Oswego, Tom (Cathy) Moody of Milford, David (Gloria) Moody of Milford & Jack (Laura) Moody of Oswego, 2 daughters: Mary (Dave) Helmuth of Wakarusa & Sally (John) Morehead of Milford, 16 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchildren on the way, 1 sister Velma Stahly of Warsaw.

She was preceded in death by husband Glenn, 2 brothers & 4 sisters.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30AM on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at the Mishler Funeral Home, Milford and will be officiated by Pastor Billy Hesketh . Burial will follow at the Leesburg Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 ? 8PM on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the funeral home.
