Mary Hesch

Mary Lou (Arch) Hesch, 80, of Bremen passed away on February 16, 2011 at Community Hospital of Bremen. Mrs. Hesch was born on September 9, 1930 in Bremen to Dewey and Bernice (Knepper) Arch. Mrs. Hesch married Donald R. Hesch on October 14, 1950. He survives.

Mary worked for Bendix Automotive aka Allied Signal for 27 years in salaried and hourly payroll and retired in 1988. She was a member of the Bendix Management Club, Bendix Ladies Golf League, Bendix Retirement Club and the Bremen VFW Post Women's Auxiliary. She started her college education at Indiana University, South Bend at the age of 43 and graduated 10 years later with her Bachelor's of Science Degree in 1983.

Mary loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She would take them on many adventures and would not think twice about driving to Florida or Chicago if she thought that would be something they would enjoy. She also loved her pug dog, Haley.

She will truly be missed by her husband of 60 years Donald, sons, Philip (Pam) Hesch, Elkhart, Kurt (Colleen) Hesch, Bremen, daughter, Amy (Barry) Beeson, Bremen. Her grandchildren, Molly Beeson (Tom) Nunemaker, Bremen, Adam (Brittany) Hesch, Jacksonville, FL, Jason (Angela) Shidaker, Kingsland, GA, Susie (Robbie) Neimer, South Bend, Amy (Ren) Duclos, Houston, TX and Brittany Vazquez, Elkhart. Also her great grandchildren, Beau and Belle Beeson, Preston and Eliana Shidaker, Jayce Neimer, Isabella Vazquez, sisters, Carol (Harold) Hammond, South Bend, and Nancy (Jim) Stuckman, Bremen.

Mary was preceded by her parents, a brother, Charles Arch and a grandson Chad Beeson.

Services will be at 10:30am on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen. Philip Hesch will be officiating. Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday, February 21, 2011 from 4:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home.
