Levi I. Chupp, 88, of Milford passed away on February 5, 2011 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Milford. He was born on March 10, 1922 in Emma, Indiana to Ira Sr. and Katherine (Stutzman) Chupp. Levi married Polly Helmuth on November 14, 1942. She preceded him on August 14, 1992.
Levi Lived in the Milford area most of his life, was a body shop repairman by trade. Levi proudly served his Country in the United States Army during WW II. He was a member of the Bethel Church of the Brethren, the Milford American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Syracuse. Levi always kept busy working on small projects. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing and riding around the town on his moped. He will be missed by all his friends and family.
Mr. Chupp is survived by three daughters, Patricia (Charlie) McKibbin, Milford, Loretta (Michael) Minnick, Ligonier, Pamela LeBlanc, Milford, nine grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Ira Chupp, Jr., Florida and a sister Rosetta Miller, Milford.
Levi was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter Rosetta Nellans, two brothers and four sisters.
Services will be 10:30 am on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Mishler Funeral Home, Milford with Reverend Verne Leininger officiating. Burial will follow in Milford Cemetery with military rites.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 9, 2011 from 4-8 pm at Mishler Funeral Home, Milford.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Association.
