Kenneth W. Carter

Kenneth W. Carter, 71, of Bremen, passed away January 8, 2011 at Sanctuary at Holy Cross in South Bend. Kenneth was born on February 9, 1939 in Athens, Alabama to R.T. and Bessie (Roberts) Carter.

Kenneth was a veteran of the United States Army and was a member of the VFW in Bremen and American Legion in Osceola.

Survivors include a son Don Skiles, Osceola, a brother, Roy (Nina) Carter, Mishawaka, two sisters, Mary (Truman) Merriman, Goreville, IL and Bess (Jim) McKenzie, Bremen, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded by in death by his parents and several siblings.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM on Wednesday, January 12, 2011at Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen with Pastor Gary Hinkle officiating. Burial will be in Bremen Cemetery.

Friends may call on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 from 4-8 PM at Mishler Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Widows and Orphans Home.
