Robert C. Hickman

Robert C. "Bob" Hickman, 71 of Bremen passed away on December 24, 2010 at Community Hospital of Bremen. He was born November 11, 1939 in Homer, Nebraska to Joseph and Gladys (Queen) Hickman. April 6, 1963 he married Susan "Sue" Welch and she survives.

Robert was a graduate of Central High School in Sioux City, Iowa, he was a US Marine Veteran, and he retired from the Engineering Department at Hehr International in Plymouth after 37 years. He enjoyed spending time with his six grandsons.

Survivors include his wife Sue Hickman of Bremen, a daughter Kim (Norm) Sellers of Wakarusa, a son Kevin (Heidi) Hickman of Bremen and six grandsons Trent, Chad and Kyle Sellers and Dawson, Camden and Maddux Hickman. Also surviving are four sisters Phyllis Nelson of Santee, CA, Mary (Lyle) Brennen of Springfield, MO, Shirley (Don) Fender of Wichita, KS, and Dorothy Weidner of Sioux City, IA, and a brother Les (Eva) Hickman of Santee, CA.

He was preceded by his parents, two sisters Rose Loraditch and Virginia Burns and a brother Al Hickman.

Funeral services will be 10:30AM on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen with Father Polycarp Fernando officiating. Burial will be in the Bremen Cemetery.

Friends may call on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 from 4-8 PM at the Funeral Home.
