Glenn E. Price, Sr., 93, of Milford, went to be with the Lord December 18, 2010, while at the LuAnn Nursing Home in Nappanee. He was born October 22, 1917, in Milford to Charles and Clara (Leatherman) Price.
On August 23, 1941, he married Kathryn Hartter in Milford. She survives along with two daughters, Susan (Bob) Cockburn of Milford; Kathy (Mike) Kohl of Elkhart, and a daughter-in-law, Sandee Price of Sarasota, FL; two sons, Stanley (Ginger) Price of Osprey, FL; Philip (Janie) Price of Milford; and a sister, Thelma Crow of Syracuse. Also surviving are sixteen grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons Glenn E. Price, Jr. and James Price; three sisters, Charlotte Robinson, Melba Rensberger and, Flossie Hartter; and three brothers, Russell, Everett and, Robert.
Glenn served in the US Army during WWII. He retired as a US rural letter carrier for Milford after twenty-five years, a Milford Volunteer Fireman and as one of the original duck farmers of twenty-five years for Maple Leaf Duck Farms in Milford, where he also served on the board. He was a lifelong Milford resident, graduating from Milford High School. He was a member of the American Legion and the Milford Apostolic Christian Church.
Visitation will be held from 4-8pm Tuesday, December 21, 2010, at the Mishler Funeral Home in Milford. Funeral services will be held 10am Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at the Milford Apostolic Christian Church with ministers of the church officiating. Burial will follow in the Milford Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Milford Volunteer Fire Department or the LuAnn Nursing Home.
