Sherry L. Maurer

Sherry L. Maurer, 62, of Bremen passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2010 at the Community Hospital of Bremen. She was born July 31, 1948 in Mishawaka to James L., Sr. & Jeanette (Bates) Bishop. On June 22, 1968 she married Paul Maurer, he preceded her in death on September 25, 2010.

Sherry graduated from Penn High School in 1967 and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in LaPaz. She was a tour guide at Amish Acres and also worked for a nursing home.

Survivors include son Rich (Maria) Maurer of Sebastian, FL, daughter Angela Maurer of Kewanna, 13 grandchildren, mother Jeanette Bishop of South Bend, 2 sisters: Marcia (Steve) Brown of Mishawaka and Melanie (Bryan) Roush of Zionsville, brother James L. Bishop, Jr of Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her husband Paul and father.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, December 17, 2010 at the Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen and will be officiated by Pastor Ryan Wardlow. Burial will follow at Bremen Cemetery.

Friends may call from 9:00AM until the time of service at the funeral home on Friday.
