Chester L. Ablert

Chester L. Albert, 83 of Leesburg died December 6, 2010 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care. He was born October 20, 1927 in La Paz, IN to Garland and Goldie (Kimble) Albert. Chester married Gloria Jean Fisher on December 21, 1947, she survives.

Chester moved to the Leesburg area in 1963 from Edwardsburg, MI. He was a farmer and truck driver for Clunette elevator. He was a member of Clunette United Methodist Church, Moose Lodge #1423 in Warsaw, the Michigan Horse pulling Association and the Michigan Horse pulling Dynamometer. Chester was a past member of the Marshall County Sheriff Posy and the La Paz Volunteer Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife Jean of 62 years, one son Rick (Libby) Albert of Warsaw, two daughters, Paula (Roger) Miller of North Webster and Lorraine (John Jr.) Anglin, of Warsaw; four grand children and four great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Louis Albert and Larry Albert both of La Paz, and one sister Luella Staner of Redlion, PA.

Chester was preceded in death by his Parents and one grandson, Jeremiah Anglin.

Services will be Friday, December 10, 2010 at 10:30 AM at Mishler Funeral Home, Milford with Pastor Mike Beezley officiating. Burial will follow in Stony Point Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 9, 2010 from 4-8 PM at Mishler Funeral Home.

Memorial Contributions may be given to the Clunette United Methodist Church or the Amyloidal Research Center.
