David L. Hillery

David Leroy Hillery, 79, of Milford passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at Golden Living Center in Elkhart. He was born February 4, 1931 in Warsaw to Victor & Lola (Castle) Hillery. On December 8, 1979 he married Donna J. Stone, she survives.

David graduated from Warsaw High School in 1950. He was a US Army Veteran, having served as Corporal (T) as a medic in the Korean War. He and his family moved from to Milford from Warsaw in 1983 and he was an equipment operator for NIPSCO. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife Donna Hillery of Milford, 2 sons: Steve (Helen) Hillery and Gene (Tanya) Tyler of Milford, , 3 daughters: Debbie (Don) Smith, Amiee (Steve) Bowler & Lesia (Dan) VanLue, all of Milford, 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 1 sister Phyllis Fribley.



He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 granddaughter Cheyenne.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at the Milford United Methodist Church in Milford and will be officiated by Rev. Robert Nelson. Burial will follow at the Milford Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8PM on Friday, December 3, 2010 at the funeral home with Masonic service beginning at 7:30PM.
