Dallas L. Winchester II, 48 of Milford, IN died November 25, 2010 at Goshen Hospital. He was born February 23, 1962 in Wabash, Indiana to Dallas L. and Barbara (Ross) Winchester. Dallas married Elizabeth "Libby" (Taylor) Winchester. She survives.
Formerly of Wabash, he moved to Milford 24 years ago. He was the Utilities Commissioner for the Town of Milford for 24 years. Dallas was also co-owner of Bio-Waste Processing and Bio-Waste Technologies. Dallas was a member of the Wawasee Community School Board formerly serving as President, recipient of the Prime Mover Award, youngest Kosciusko County Democratic Party Chairman, former Van Buren Township Trustee, member of Milford Area Development, Milford Kiwanis, former Volunteer Fireman for the Town of Milford, AWWA Board Committee Member, Camelot Association Board, KEDC Board of Directors. He was a 1980 graduate of Wabash High School, a 1983 graduate of Vincennes University. Dallas loved the outdoors.
Dallas is surivied by his wife Elizabeth "Libby" Winchester of Milford, three daughters, Brittany (Christopher) Sarll of Wabash, Brooke Winchester of Syracuse, Breanne Winchester of Milford. Also surviving is his mother, Barbara (Ned) Schuler of North Manchester, a sister, Terri (Dean) Weaver of Wabash, a granddaughter, Makenzie Sarll; one step brother, Troy (Tina) Schuler of North Manchester and one step sister, Jennifer (Todd) Gearhart of North Manchester.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Dallas L. Winchester.
Services will be Thursday, December 2, 2010, with visitation from 2-6PM with a Celebration of Life to follow at 6PM, officiated by Pastor Josh Weiland at the Wawasee Community Bible Church, 2035 E 1300 N, Milford, IN.
Friday, December 3, 2010, with visitation from 10AM-2PM with a Funeral Service to follow at 2PM, officiated by Pastor Dan Boone, at the Wabash Faith Baptist Church, 200 Linwood Lane, Wabash, IN. Entombment will follow in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash.
