Anna Katherine Cain

Anna Katherine Cain, 94, died Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Miller's Merry Manor in Warsaw. Anna was born on June 27, 1916 in Kosciusko County, Indiana to Jessie and Pearl (Shreiner) Wise; she married Hubert Cain on February 4, 1939 who preceded her in death in 1984.

Anna was a lifetime Milford resident, she was a member of the First Brethren Church of Milford, the Women's Missionary Society of the First Brethren Church, Melloaires singing group of Kosciusko County, American Legion 226 Auxiliary and the Home Arts Club in Milford. Anna worked as a nurse for 18 years at Goshen Hospital. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and volunteering at the Red Cross.

She is survived by a daughter Sandra (Jerry) Hedington, Tippecanoe, son Steven (Mary) Cain, Noblesville, three grandchildren, Angela Adams, Fishers, Andrew Cain, Carmel, and Todd Noel Hedington, Tippecanoe. Also surviving are six great grandchildren, Ellie, Maggie, Mia and Luke Adams; Haley and Tyler Hedington.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Pearl and Jessie Wise, husband, a daughter Judith Anne Cain, two grandchildren Jay Lee Hedington, Steven Scott Cain, a brother and two sisters.

Services will be Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Mishler Funeral Home with Pastor Billy Hesketh officiating. Burial will follow in Milford Cemetery. There will be two hours of visitation prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Milford First Brethren Church.
