David Ewald

David Christopher Ewald, 55, of Bremen, died October 14, 2010 at his home. He was born February 21, 1955 in South Bend to Daniel and Kathryn (Nagy) Ewald.

David liked all kinds of sports. He enjoyed watching the Cubs, and was a big Notre Dame fan. He liked playing pool, bowling, playing cards and being outside, either walking or riding his bike. He was a 1973 graduate of Riley High School in South Bend, and was a member of Horizon Ministries in Bremen.

He is survived by 2 sons, Nathan R. Ewald and David C. Ewald, both of South Bend, 2 brothers, Daniel (Melody) Ewald, Leesburg, Michael Ewald, Marion, and a sister Linda Helenburg, South Bend. Also surviving are 3 nephews, Eric Ewald, Justin Duvall, Jason Ewald and 4 nieces, Christine Duvall, Lynn Schleeter, Cassandra Ewald, and Jessica Duvall.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Kimberley M. Ewald.

Services will be Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 12:00 PM at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen with Pastor Jim Morse officiating. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service.
