Margaret E. Miller

Margaret E. Miller, 98, passed away Monday, October 11, 2010 at her home. Peggy, as she was called, was born on June 2, 1912 to Theodore and Minnie (Kelm) Poscharscky in Wyanet, IL. The family moved to Indiana in 1917. She married Chester Miller on June 26, 1928; he preceded her in June of 1972. Margaret then married Vlouris Miller on November 26, 1975 and he preceded her in May of 1977.

Family dinners will never be the same without her noodles and "best ever" old fashioned cream pies. Margaret worked for Essex Wire in Syracuse, retiring in 1972 after 25 years. She enjoyed playing yahtzee, working word search books and watching the Cubs on TV.

She volunteered for many years at Miller's Merry Manor in Syracuse with her best friend Mildred Nicholi.

She is survived by three daughters, Darlene (Jack) Kneller, Columbia City, Bernice Knisley, Elkhart, Sandra (Roger) Baumgartner, Milford. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, who affectionately called her Granny Grits, thirteen great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by 4 sisters and 3 brothers and a baby girl, Betty, who died shortly after birth.

Services will be Thursday, October 14, 2010 at 11 am at Mishler Funeral Home, Milford with Pastor Billy Hesketh officiating. Burial will follow in the North Webster Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Thursday at the funeral home.
