Robert P. Richardson

Robert Paul Richardson, 83, of South Bend died at 4:17 am in Center for Hospice Care, Elkhart. He was born May 8, 1927 in Chicago, IL to Fred and Andrea (Groneman) Richardson. Bob was married on March 19, 1949 in Chicago to the love of his life, Jeane Wagner. She preceded him in death on June 15, 2009 after 60 years of marriage.

Bob worked as office manager for the Hooper Holmes Bureau for John Hancock Insurance Company and as frozen food manager at Woodie's Supermarket in Bremen. We will miss our "daddy" terribly but are happy that he is reunited with our mother, Jeane, and his Lord. We are thankful that he taught us to be gracious and strong and to always do our duty.

He is survived by three daughters, Pamela (Edward) Beery of Bremen, Donna (Mark) Garringer of Markle, IN and Lisa (John) Brown of Grosse Pointe Park, MI. He is also survived six grandchildren, Brent (Tamara) Beery, Amy (Rich) Kendall, Anne (Rex) Stiles, Jason (Michelle) Richardson, Ryan (Amanda) Alford, Sorin Koszyk, 10 great grandchildren, Brandon, Ransom, Hope, and Jenna Beery, Becca Kendall, Emily and Nathan Stiles, Lauren Richardson, Gabbi and Emma Alford; a brother, Jay Richardson of Texas and two sisters, Beverly Zurick and Betty Lillie both of IL.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at the Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen. Pastor Duane Beals will be officiating. Cremation will follow.

Visitation will be from 10-11 am on Wednesday, July 28, 2010.
