William D. Tom

William D. Tom, 84, of Milford passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at the Lakeland Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. He was born February 9, 1926 in

Milford to Harold A. & Eleanor (Cox) Tom. He married Betty L Shaum, she preceded him in death on November 30, 1985.

William worked for Wilt's Supermarket for 39 years. He enjoyed sports, coached softball, enjoyed pitching horseshoes and was an avid Cubs fan.

Survivors include twin brother John (Lorene) Tom of Oxnard, CA, nieces & nephews: Kay (Clark) Stump of Nappanee, Brad (Cheryl) Sorensen of Milford, Gary (Jeanie) Sorensen of Niles, MI, Coleen O'Shea of Oxnard, CA and John B. (Pat) Tom of Oxnard, CA, great nieces and nephews: Haley Burbank, Stephanie (Kurt) Shelton, Shawn, Derrick, Jeremy, Bradley and Tarina Sorensen, 1 great-great nephew Jaxson Shelton.



He was preceded in death by his wife Betty, parents and sister Sue Sorensen.

Funeral services will be private.
