Freda Schlemmer

Freda Pauline Schlemmer, 70 of Bremen passed away June 8, 2010 in her residence. She was born April 27, 1940 in Bremen to Paul and Lomeda (Seniff) Becknell. Freda married James Schlemmer on January 4, 1959. He preceded her in August of 2003.

Freda was born and raised in Bremen. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and never knew a stranger. She was a kind and generous person and was a truly amazing lady that will be missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by a son Randy (Sandi) Schlemmer, Bremen, a daughter, Beth (Scott) Villars, Bremen, three grandchildren, Sasha, Rachelle, Katie; four great-grandchildren, Alexis, Jaiden, Shayla and Gavin. Also surviving are two brothers, twin brother Fred Becknell, Midland, MI, and Kenny Becknell, Granger; six sisters, Norma Church, Bourbon, Donna Hinsdale, South Whitley, Jenny Zentz, Plymouth, Irene Unsicker, Bremen, Doris Lynch,Bremen, and Sue Becknell, Plymouth.

Freda was preceded by her parents, husband, and one grandson Zachery.

A memorial service will be held 10 AM Friday, June 11, 2010

at Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen with twin brother Pastor Fred Becknell officiating. Burial will be private at a later date in Bremen Cemetery.

There will be a time to share with the family one hour prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be given Center for Hospice and Palliative Care or Riley's Children's Hospital.
