Glen E. Kile

Glen E. Kile, 78 of Bremen, died May 26, 2010 at Memorial Hospital of South Bend. He was born July 20, 1931 in Bremen to Walter & Helen (Freeman) Kile. On August 16, 1952 Glen married Carolyn Aukerman. She survives.

Glen was a 1949 Graduate of Bremen High School. He formerly owned Glen Kile's Friendly Service Station, then he drove for Ideal Oil Co, retiring in 1996. He was a member of the Bremen Volunteer Fire Dept. for 50 years. Glen enjoyed fishing and watching the Cubs and was a Notre Dame sports fan.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn, three daughters, Linda Leonard of East Jordan, MI, Jenny Kile of Crown Point, IN, Jan (John) Schmidt of Indianapolis, IN,one son, Brad (Lisa Soto) Kile of Bremen and two grandchildren Zachary and Wyatt Schmidt of Indianapolis. Also surviving is one brother, Wayne Kile of Bloomington and one sister, Barbara Smith.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents.

Services for Glen will be 2:00PM Sunday, May 30, 2010 at Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen with Pastor David Sickelka officiating. Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2-6PM Saturday, May 29, 2010 at the funeral home with a Fireman's Memorial Service to begin at 5:30 PM.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Bremen Volunteer Fire Dept. or Community Hospital of Bremen.
