Charles R. Kline, Sr., 87, of Bremen passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2010 at the Rivercrest Specialty Hospital in Mishawaka. He was born June 13, 1922 in Mishawaka to Carl B. & Margaret (Gahl) Kline. On April 5, 1947 he married Alene Annabell Rector, she preceded him in death in June of 1986.
Charles was a US Army Veteran and served as Military Police in England during WWII. He worked for Bremen Bearing and as a truck driver delivering flour for Ritter Flour Co. and Bulk A Matic, retiring in 1987. He was a past Bremen VFW Commander.
Survivors include daughters Barbara (Dan) Grimmer of South Bend and Kathy Kline of Plymouth, son John (Yvonne) Kline of South Bend, 4 grandchildren,
6 great-grandchildren, siblings: Thelma James of Three Rivers, MI, Warren (Carolyn) Kline of Wyatt, Patsy (Dewey) Vanlue of Mishawaka, Carol Zarembka of New Carlisle, Mikael Kline of La Porte, Grover (Verna) Kline of Marshall, AR, Ramona (Dick) Maxwell of Dayton, OH.
He was preceded in death by his wife Alene, son Charles R. Kline, Jr., daughter Brenda Kline, brother Pete Kline and sister Maryann Coorman.
Funeral service will be held at 7:30PM Thursday evening, May 13, 2010 at the Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen and will be officiated by Pastor Neil Wonnacott.
Friends may call from 4 ? 7:30 PM on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at the funeral home until the time of service at 7:30 PM.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
