June I Morehead

June I. Morehead, 87 of Warsaw, went home to be with the Lord April 19, 2010 at 5:13am at Millers Merry Manor in Warsaw. She was born January 8, 1923 in Lima, Ohio

to Dana E. and B. Irene (Rudy) Bowers. June married Joseph A. Morehead, Senior, who preceded her in June of 1981.

June was a lifetime area resident. She was a homemaker and sold Avon for many years. She loved her family, and tried to talk to them everyday. A devoted Christian woman, she raised her children to Love the Lord. June enjoyed spending time outside, gardening, raising flowers and fishing. She really liked to listen to Elvis Pressley and shared the same birth day with him. She enjoyed dancing, singing and yodeling. June was very outgoing and never knew a stranger. June was loved and will be missed dearly.

June is survived by three sons, Joe (Jane) Morehead, Jr, Milford, Jay (Vickie) Morehead, Sr, Leesburg, John (Sally) Morehead, Sr, Milford; four daughters, Donna Plummer, Warsaw, Jane (Charlie) Weise, Syracuse, Shirley (Julian) Islas, Larwill. And Susan (Bill) Gerrity, Sr, Syracuse. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren 49 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a daughter, Christine Morehead and a brother, Dana and his wife Carolyn Bowers.



Services will be Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 11:00 am at Mishler Funeral Home, Milford with Pastor Gary Colby officiating. Burial will follow in Leesburg Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 21, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 5:00 to 8:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association.
