Mary Ellen Starr

Mary Ellen Starr, 84, of Yuma, AZ, formerly of Bremen passed away on Monday, March 29, 2010 in Yuma, AZ. She was born on February 11, 1926 in Knox to Walker & Louise (Lake) Peer. On August 25, 1946 she married Ernest R. Starr, he survives.

Mary graduated from Culver High School in 1943 and was a homemaker. She was a member of Gila Mountain United Methodist Church in Yuma, AZ and attended First United Church of Christ in Bremen.

Survivors include husband Ernest Starr of Yuma, AZ, 3 sons: Ken (Nancy) Starr of Yuma, AZ, Bruce Starr of Philadelphia, PA and Edwin (Kimberly) Starr of Conway, AR, 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son Richard Starr.

Funeral service will be at 10:30AM on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at the Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen and will be officiated by Pastor Thomas Dean. Burial will follow at the Bremen Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4-8PM on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at the funeral home.
