Nilah H. Jonasch, 95 of Milford passed away March 25, 2010 at Lakeland HealthCare and Rehab. She was born January 9, 1915 in New York City, NY to George and Nilah Harvey. Nilah married Edward Jonasch who preceded her in 1983.
Nilah lived in New York for roughly 30 years, she also lived in Pennsylvania and Ohio before moving to Milford in 1954 where she was a long time Dewart lake resident. She was a homemaker, worked at Bowery Bank in New York and Bookkeeper for Jonasch Plastics. Nilah was a member of First Church of Christ Science in Warsaw and the Home Arts club in Milford. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She enjoyed baking cookies and delivered them to friends and family at Christmas time.
She is survived by one son, James Jonasch of Fort Wayne, one daughter, Nilah (Dan) Brown of Milford, five grandchildren, Kim (Dave) Priest of Fort Wayne, Jon Jonasch of Indianapolis, Tami (Scott) Lauschke of Canton, OH, Jennifer Senger of Fort Wayne; Amber Brown, Milford and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded by her parents and her husband.
Services for Nilah will be on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Mishler Funeral Home in Milford with Pastor Rob Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in Milford Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral.
Memorial contributions may be given to The American Heart Association or the Milford Food Pantry.
