James "Jim" Murphy

James "Jim" D. Murphy, 67, of Bremen, formerly of Michigan passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at his residence. He was born July 23, 1942 in Benton Harbor, MI to James E. & Helen C. (Johnson) Murphy. On May 15, 1993 he married Judy Lamaster, she survives.

Jim was a US Navy Veteran, he retired from Covermaster, was a truck driver, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He enjoyed RC planes, fishing on his boat, working on cars and spending time with his children.

Survivors include wife Judy Murphy of Bremen, 4 daughters: Julie (Mark) Molter of Dowagiac, MI, Tracy (Ryan) Davis of Granger, Brylee & Ebony Murphy, both of Bremen, 1 son Chad Murphy of Bremen, 5 grandchildren: Crystal, Courtney, Joshua, Layn, Isabella, 2 great-grandchildren: Alexia & Arik, 1 sister Donna (Dave) Richmond of Kalamazoo.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Bremen and will be officiated by Pastor Ben Hammond. Burial will follow at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with military honors.
