Charles Barts

Charles Junior Barts, 88, of Bremen passed away on Monday, February 22, 2010 at the

Bremen Health Care Center. He was born August 12, 1921 in St. Joseph County to Charles H. & Myrtle (Kline) Barts. He married Thelma June Stuntz in 1949. She survives.

Charles graduated from Lakeville High School in 1939, was a painter, carpenter, stone mason & worked in construction. He was a member of the Mennonite Brethren in Christ Church, Indianan Chapel and a US Army WWII veteran.

Survivors include wife Thelma of Bremen, son Wayne Barts of New Albany, OH, and sister Elnora Zeiger of Osceola . He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, February 26, 2010 at the Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen and will be officiated by Pastor Tom Hostetler. Burial will follow at the Bremen Cemetery,

Friends may call 2 hours before service on Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or to the Community Hospital of Bremen.
