Wilma J. Hummel, 91, of Wakarusa passed away on Monday, February 8, 2010 at Millers Merry Manor, Wakarusa. She was born May 10, 1918 in South Bend to Arthur & Frieda (Schmuck) Scope. She married Harold F. Hummel on May 24, 1937. He proceded her in death in June, 1997. Wilma was a homemaker.
Survivors include 2 daughters Mary (Ray) Kohn of South Bend and Janice Clark of Elkhart, 1 son James (Cindy) Hummel of Conroe, TX, 9 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 grandson, 2 sisters, and 1 brother.
A memorial luncheon will be held at Greene Township Community Building, 24600 Roosevelt Road, South Bend, on Saturday, May 8, from 1-4 p.m. Friends and family are invited.
