Sarah A. Slabaugh, 97, of Milford passed away January 29, 2010 at Lakeland Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Milford.
She was born December 13, 1912 in Bremen to John and Barbara Gerber. She married Roman Slabaugh who preceded her.
Sarah was a clerk at various Milford retail businesses; she was a cook at Milford High School, a duck farmer and a homemaker. She was a member of Milford Sewing Circle, a 4-H leader and a member of North Main Street Mennonite Church in Nappanee.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Donald (Delores) Boyd, Sebring, FL, Mrs. Roger (Shirley) Graff, Fort Wayne, IN, Mrs. John (Patricia) Yeater, Chandler, AZ, 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Crist (Mattie) Miller, Goshen; Mrs. Eldon (Katherine) Herrli, Elkhart.
She was preceded by her parents, husband, Roman Slabaugh, one son, Larry Slabaugh, one daughter, Gloria Baumgartner, son-in-law, Roger Graff, one sister, Mrs. Eli (Drusilla) Yoder; three brothers, Valentine Gerber, Floyd Gerber, Mose Gerber.
Services for Sarah will be 10:30 AM Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at North Main Street Mennonite Church, 504 N. Main Street, Nappanee, Indiana with Ruben Chupp and Bob Gerber officiating. Burial will be in Milford Cemetery. Visitation will Monday, February 1, 2010 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at Mishler Funeral Home, and one hour prior the service at the Church on Tuesday.
Memorial Contributions may be given to the North Main Street Mennonite Church.
