Marian D. Melton

Marian D. Melton, 86, of Bremen passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Millers Merry Manor in Wakarusa. She was born on February 12, 1923 in Lakeville to Oscar Clinton & Dora Pearl (Rowe) Wynn. She married Kenneth R. Geib, who preceded her in death in 1962. She then married Norman Gene "Sam" Melton, who preceded her in death in 2000.

Marian was a homemaker and worked for Bremen Castings for over 30 years. She was a member of Bremen Missionary Church. She loved her church and served as board secretary for many years.

Survivors include 3 daughters Karen Marks of Bourbon, Mary Ann Dahlquist of Bremen and Sandy (James) Yoder of Bremen, daughter-in-law Dorothy Geib of Plymouth, 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, brother Charles Wynn of North Liberty.

She was preceded in death by 2 sons Tony L. and James J. Geib, brother Levere, infant brother Robert, sisters Iris, Marjorie and Dorothy.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30AM on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at the Bremen Missionary Church and will be officiated by Pastor Gary Hinkle. Burial will follow at the Bremen Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4-8PM on Friday, December 4, 2009 at the church.
