Doris Weaver

July 27, 1925 — November 28, 2009

Doris Ellen (Senff) Weaver, 84, went home to be with her

Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 6:17 p.m. Saturday, November 28, 2009, at her home in LaPaz. She was born on July 27, 1925, in Bremen, to Harvey Delbert and

Laura Mae (Leeper) Senff. She married Elson Elias Weaver on Aug. 14, 1944. He preceded

her in death on June 15, 1997.



A lifetime resident of Marshall County, Doris lived around the

Argos and Plymouth areas and attended school in Argos. She was a dedicated housewife and mother. She worked at Stauffer's (United Foam) factory in Bremen and after its closing she was a successful Avon Representative and won many awards. She and her husband were owners/operators of Weaver's Kitchen Elephant Ear Concessions from 1983 to 2004 and organized the LaPaz Community Craft Show for 19 years.



She attended New Song Community Church in Plymouth with her

family. She is survived by ten children, Sandy (Jerry) Jackson of Warsaw, Nelson Eugene (Video) Weaver of Rochester, John (Sue) Weaver of Arkansas, Mary Joan (John) Thomas of Walkerton, Pam (Terry) Hansen and Donald (Vicki) Weaver, all of Bremen, Charles (Alma) Weaver of Mishawaka, Patricia Roberts and Anita (Ron) Belt, all of LaPaz, and Angela Smith of Plymouth; three sisters, Vera Heinke and Bonnie (Harold) Bagley, all of Bremen, and Thelma (Dave) Miller of Walkerton; and two brothers, Robert Senff of Illinois and Russell (Fern) Senff of Arizona. She is also survived by a stepson-in-law, Herb Crone of South Bend; 26 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and 8

great-great-grandchildren. Along with her loving husband of 52 years, Doris was preceded in

death by her parents; stepdaughter, Patsy Crone; two brothers, Eldon and Delbert Senff; and four sisters, Arlena Emerick, Mae Twattle, Lucille Sarber and Lomeda Laudeman.



Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, December 5, 2009 at New Song

Community Church, 400 N. Kingston Rd., in Plymouth. The Revs. Justin Chambers, Jim Gilmer, and Rick Gaul will officiate a memorial service immediately following at the church. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Plymouth.
