Edward "Ted" Gunter, 94, of Leesburg went home to be with the Lord on November 27, 2009 surrounded by his loving family.
Ted was born on November 20, 1915 to Foster and Bessie (Frymire) Gunter.
On July 18, 1936 he married Arneal Warstler, she survives.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a member of the Leesburg Grace Brethren Church and was a man who loved the Lord. He really enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling to his summer home in Marcellus, Michigan.
Ted worked for the Civil Conservation Corps during the depression and was a foreman for Clausing Inc. in Warsaw for 37 years. He was also employed as the Superintendent for the Leesburg Street Department.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Arneal, a son, Pardee (Toshiko) Gunter, Leesburg, a daughter, Shelba (Sam) Cooper, Leesburg, six grandchildren Tonya, Tina, Vondria, Joshua, Eddie; Tai and 14 great grandchildren.
He was preceded by his parents, four brothers and one sister.
Private family services will be held for Ted. The family has requested that any donations be given to Hospice of Kosciusko County.
