Dale W. Geyer, 91, of Bremen passed away on Monday, October 12, 2009 at his home. He was born on December 24, 1917 at home in Lakeville to Walter & Lulu (Seese) Geyer. On March 16, 1946 he married Ruby Battles, she survives.
Dale graduated from Lakeville HS in 1934. He was a lifetime grain & livestock farmer. He attended Zion Church of Christ in Wakarusa, was a decorated WWII Veteran of the US Army, served several years as Field Rep for St. Joseph County ASCS Committee, worked 17 years with Studebaker Corp and 17 years with Union-North Corp., served on St. Joseph County 4-H Beef Committee for several years, he was on many agricultural High School State & National Judging teams under the leadership of Coach Joseph Kintzel.
Survivors include wife of 63 years Ruby Geyer of Bremen, 2 sons Larry D. (Jane) Geyer of Murrells Inlet, SC and Craig (Rebecca) Geyer of Bremen, 1 daughter Beverly Ann (Larry) Hough of Lakeville, 5 grandchildren: Mike & Clay Geyer, Stephanie (Jeremy) Kuskye, Jennifer (David) Dunn, and Kelly (Sarah) Geyer, 6 great-grandchildren: Noah & Mikalah Kuskye, Ruby & Addison Dunn, Emily & Olivia Dale Geyer.
He was preceded in death by 1 brother Robert and 1 sister Betty Heckaman.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 16, 2009 at the Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen and will be officiated by Pastor Dale Speckman. Burial will follow at the Bremen Cemetery with military honors.
Friends may call from 2 ? 4 & 6 ? 8PM on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at the funeral home.
