Andrea Marie Smith

Andrea Marie Smith, 16, of Vernon Children's Home in Wabash, and formerly of Syracuse, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2009 at Parkview Huntington Hospital from injuries suffered as a pedestrian when she was struck by a car on March 15, 2006 in Goshen.

She was born June 18, 1993 in Warsaw to Christopher J. Smith of Syracuse and Christina Monroe of Albion. She previously attended Syracuse Elementary and Goshen Middle Schools.

In addition to her parents, she is also survived by a sister: Brittany Powell of Syracuse; 3 brothers: Ryan Smith, Ashton Smith, and Christopher Monroe all of Albion; Maternal Grandparents: Lora & Gary Barton of Mentone; Paternal Grandfather: Dennis H. Smith of Syracuse. She was preceded in death by a grandmother: Donna Knight and great grandmother: Doris Monroe.

Services will be on Thursday, September 17, 2009, 11:00 AM at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, Syracuse with Pastor David Mane officiating. Burial will be in Syracuse Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 16 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home.
