Henry "Hank" Leon Verhaeghe

Henry Verhaeghe, 90, passed away in his residence on August 9, 2009. He was born on September 22, 1918, in Mishawaka, IN, to Leon & Margarite (VanNeste) Verhaeghe.

In 1939, he married Bertha Weber in Mishawaka. She survives.

A Dairy Farmer, Hank also worked part time for Fulton Marshall County Co Op. He was a loving husband of 69 years, a father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather. He was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Bremen. Hank enjoyed bowling, small engines, antiques, hunting rabbit and pheasant and enjoyed wood working.

Hank is survived by his Wife: Bertha of Bremen, 3 Sons: Michael (Lynn) Verhaeghe of Bremen, Larry (Lori) Verhaeghe of Bremen, Richard Verhaeghe of Tyner, 1 Daughter in law: Linda Verhaeghe of Plymouth, 10 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandson. He was preceded in death by his Parents, a Son: Leon, a Sister: Mary Coddens and a Grandson: Robert Verhaeghe.

Services will be held at 10AM on Thursday, August 13, 2009, at Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen. Father Glenn Kohrman will officiate. Burial will take place at Bremen Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8PM on Wednesday, August 12, 2009, at Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care.
