Wayne M. Bucher

Wayne M. Bucher, 91, of Syracuse, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2009, at Miller's Merry Manor in Syracuse. He was born on August 28, 1917, in Milford to Jacob R. & LaVica (Dewart) Bucher.

On April 17, 1938, he married Irene Poe. She survives.

A lifetime Dewart Lake resident, Wayne was a Farmer who retired in 1983. He was a Member of the Warsaw First Christian Church, Masonic Lodge, a Member of the Tippecanoe Country Club for 40 years (1968-2008), and the Last Charter Member of the Milford Lions Club.

Survivors include his wife: Irene Bucher of Syracuse, 1 Daughter: Cindy (Stan) Harper of Syracuse, 2 Sons: Wayne (Sandra Bucker, Jr. of Milford, Don (Peggy) Bucher of Syracuse, 6 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren, 2 Step Great Grandchildren, 10 Great Great Grandchildren and 2 Step Great Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Yvonne Conn.

Services will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2009, 11:00AM at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home in Milford. Eldon Wilson of the First Christian Church, Vandalia, MO, will officiate. Burial will take place at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8PM on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home in Milford.

Memorial contributions may be made to Riley's Children's Hospital.
