Joan L. Morehead

Joan L. Morehead, 79, of Bremen passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Millers Merry Manor in Wakarusa. She was born on January 11, 1930 in Chicago, IL to Frank & Margaret (Muth) Schroff and was raised by Herman and Blanch Rakeoff. On July 20, 1968 she married David Morehead. He preceded her in death in 1995.

Joan was a former telephone operator in Bremen, also worked at the Manor cleaning apartments and used to do ladies' hair on Fridays. Worked for SKF/Bremen Bearings for 34 years. She was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Bremen, member Bremen VFW Women's Aux. and was an avid bowler.

Survivors include special friends Pauline Thompson of Bremen, Kathy Dutoi of Bremen, and one brother Howard Schroff of FL. She was preceded in death by her husband David, one sister Mildred Quinn, and a special friend John Baxter,

Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM on Monday, July 20, 2009 at the Bremen Cemetery Chapel.

Memorials may be made to the Hospice of your choice or to St. Dominic Catholic Church.
