Dororthy Lorraine Mcgowen

Dorothy Lorraine McGowen, 90, of Bremen, passed away at Bremen Health Care Center on Thursday, June 18, 2009. She was born on April 24, 1919, in Rochester, MN, to Oscar & Pauline (Sibert) Myhre.

She married Norman McGowen in 1943. He survives.

Dorothy worked at the Bremen Beauty Shop for over 30 years. She was a Charter member of the First Baptist Church in Bremen, member of Home Ec. Club, and Ladies missionary.

Survivors include her Husband Norman McGowen of Bremen, 2 sons: Michael (Connie) McGowen of Wakarusa, David (Kathy) McGowen of Bremen, 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 1 sister: Delorres "Dee" (Gerald) Kiefer of Bremen. She was preceded in death by an Infant daughter Sherry Sue and 1 brother Ray Yenna.

Services will be at 10:30AM on Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at the First Baptist Church, Bremen. Pastor Ben Hammond will officiate. Burial will take place at the Bremen Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 ? 8 P on Monday, June 22, 2009, at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen.
