Howell "Holly" E. Hemminger

Howell "Holly" E. Hemminger, 83, of Bremen passed away Saturday, May 23, 2009, 12:03 AM at his residence. He was born June 19, 1925 in Bremen to Floyd & Ruth (Strycker) Hemminger. On June 29, 1947 he married Cathaleen Rouch, she survives.

Holly was a member of the Bremen Church of the Brethren where he had been a deacon for over 50 years; was a previous employee and then owner of Kenny's Super Foods, previous Marshall County Assessor, and was a WWII Army veteran serving in Japan.

Other survivors include 2 daughters: Marianne (Tobby) Hubbs of Bremen and Kelley Leeper of Goshen. 1 son: Scott (Marisa) Hemminger of Florida. 14 Grandchildren and 9 Great grandchildren. 1 Brother: Jerry Hemminger of Goshen. He was preceded in death by an infant son: Dan and 1 brother: Carlyle Hemminger.

Services will be private for the Family and burial will be in Bremen Cemetery.

Public visitation will be on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen.

Memorials may be directed to the Bremen Church of the Brethren Building Fund or the Center for Hospice.
