Leona H. Dippon

Leona H. Dippon, 87, of Milford passed away May 6, 2009 surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 7, 1922 in Milford to the late Howard D. and Aileen G. (Hover) Poe.

On December 2, 1944 she married Delbert "Bud" Dippon who survives.

Leona graduated with the class of 1940 in Milford, Indiana and was a member of the Milford United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed playing bridge, decorating and gardening.



She is survived by her husband of 65 years, a daughter, Judith Ann (Bruce) Cohen of Granger, a son Jeffery Alan Dippon of Milford, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Irene (Wayne) Bucher, Syracuse and Frances Barnes, Waterford, Michigan; one brother in law, Paul Tanner, Ft. Myers, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Joy Tanner, Ft. Myers, Florida.

Services will be Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 11 am at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Milford with Pastor Rob Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in Milford Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, May 8 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to Milford United Methodist Church or Hospice of Goshen.
